3-D mixed media wall sculptures, which explore silhouette and shadows with stainless steel shapes set off from materials with varying optical effects. Inspired by the works of Mark Rothko and James Turrell, this artwork is an exploration of light, color and shadow, and their effects on the perception of form. Using various reflective and light absorbent materials, the viewer is invited to affirm or question their visual perception with tactile proof. The light, shadows and colors will shift and change as people walk past the 3-D layers, inspiring curiosity and exploration. To encourage a healing experience, visuals are soft and subtle, while inspiring deep and thoughtful inquiry.
